Python Developer

About the role

One of the largest banks in the European Union is looking for a Python Developer to help evolve its third‑party data ecosystem. The role focuses on streamlining integration of new data sources and technologies such as data virtualization and APIs, improving real‑time data accessibility across systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design, secure and scale back‑end architectures.
• Code and test software components in line with development and security standards.
• Industrialise solutions using CI/CD best practices.
• Assist in designing, modelling and implementing product solutions to optimise code quality and maintainability.
• Develop and maintain APIs, micro‑services and event‑driven integrations supporting business processes and data exchanges.

Required profile

• Strong mastery of Python development, including FastAPI and Flask.
• Proven experience with API design, RESTful services and micro‑services architectures.
• Hands‑on experience with unit and integration testing (PyTest, Unittest) and test‑management tools (e.g., ALM/Octane).
• Advanced SQL skills, database design and optimisation, preferably PostgreSQL.
• Deep understanding of software‑engineering best practices: CI/CD, Git workflows, code review, clean architecture, design patterns, observability.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, IBM, etc.) and containerisation using Docker.
• Familiarity with Agile/DevOps environments and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence and Git.
• Fluent English; French knowledge is a plus.
