Finance Trainee – First Step Program

About the role

Start your career where finance meets innovation. The First Step @ AbbVie program is a 12‑month graduate‑level rotation that gives recent graduates exposure to core finance functions such as Record‑to‑Report, Tax and Controllership while developing analytical, digital and business capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Support monthly closing activities and financial reconciliations.
• Contribute to tax documentation and compliance activities.
• Assist with internal control and compliance processes.
• Prepare reports, dashboards and presentations for business stakeholders.
• Participate in process‑improvement and digitalisation initiatives, including automation and AI projects.
• Collaborate on cross‑functional projects with colleagues across countries.

Required profile

• Recent degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Management or a related field.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Curiosity, eagerness to learn and good communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Fluency in English.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and MS Office tools.
