Finance Internal Control Specialist

About the role

Airbus is looking for a Finance Internal Control Specialist to join its Finance Internal Control department in Lisbon. You will act as the second line of defence, supporting the design, testing and monitoring of internal controls across Finance entities.

Key responsibilities

• Support the annual ICSA Core & AGBS campaigns, ensuring questionnaire consistency with Airbus Internal Financial Control Standards.
• Conduct second‑line testing to verify self‑assessment responses and assess the effectiveness of first‑line key controls.
• Drive deployment of internal control frameworks, identify key risks, and define appropriate controls using an end‑to‑end approach.
• Provide guidance and training to process owners, update documentation, FAQs and internal training materials.
• Report findings, issue recommendations, and follow up on action plans with the IC central team and Business Area heads.
• Support the first line of defence by explaining control concepts and helping simplify processes.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of internal control principles and regulatory requirements.
• Experience in finance or audit environments, preferably with exposure to second‑line testing.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work independently.

Required skills

• Knowledge of internal control standards and testing methodologies.
• Familiarity with ICSA questionnaires and internal control tools.
