About the role
The Finance & Accounting Analyst supports managerial accounting, financial reporting, and business analytics initiatives across multiple business units and subsidiaries. This hybrid role based in San Juan, Puerto Rico, is responsible for month‑end close activities, accounting analyses, KPI reporting, and creating dashboards to help leaders make informed decisions.
Key responsibilities
- Support month‑end and beginning‑of‑month close activities for assigned subsidiaries.
- Manage accounting activities and financial reporting processes for multiple business entities.
- Review accounting transactions, accruals, allocations, reserves, and classifications to ensure financial accuracy.
- Prepare journal entries, accounting adjustments, and reclassifications as needed.
- Perform profitability analysis and managerial reporting that provide valuable business insights.
- Conduct financial, operational, cost, and KPI analyses requested by business partners and leadership teams.
- Research and interpret accounting standards, technical guidance, and regulatory requirements.
- Develop reporting solutions, dashboards, and data visualizations that support decision‑making.
- Support Workday reporting initiatives and dashboard development efforts.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to identify risks, streamline processes, and improve data quality.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of two years of accounting, finance, or financial reporting experience.
- Strong accounting knowledge and understanding of GAAP principles.
- Experience conducting financial analysis and interpreting complex financial information.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including analytical modeling, reporting, and data analysis.
- Experience preparing accounting analyses, journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem‑solving capabilities.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Fully bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining high‑quality work.
