Accounts Receivable Junior Accountant

About the role

We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Junior Accountant to join Airbus’ Global Business Services in Lisbon. The role supports the full accounts‑receivable process, from invoice issuance to cash application and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Allocate incoming payments to invoices manually or using electronic tools.
• Create and modify customer master data and contracts in SAP.
• Issue commercial delivery invoices, credit notes and advance‑payment invoices in line with legal, accounting and tax rules.
• Collect and verify external documents such as Airway Bills and certificates.
• Prepare debtor statements, send monthly reconciliation letters and support the dunning process.
• Analyse bad‑debt cases, post provisions and write‑offs, and produce ageing reports.
• Contribute to financial‑statement preparation and ensure compliance with IFRS and internal controls.
• Identify and propose continuous‑improvement actions for the accounts‑receivable process.

Required profile

• Recent graduate or junior accountant with experience in accounting administrative tasks.
• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or equivalent experience.
• Good knowledge of accounting principles, IFRS and internal‑control standards.
• Ability to interact with customers across the US and Europe and understand their needs.
• Advanced level of English; additional language is a plus.
