Field Technician

About the role

PipeCare Europe is seeking an experienced Field Technician to support pipeline integrity projects across Europe. The role involves planning, executing and reporting on pigging and inline inspection (ILI) activities while ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, sign and submit pigging, daily, express and other operational reports.
• Coordinate equipment and tool requirements, including auxiliaries, AGM’s, DGPS, magnets, launching trays and spares.
• Study project documents, operation manuals and pigging procedures to ensure compliance.
• Establish professional contacts with client field personnel and maintain good working relationships.
• Execute field work safely and efficiently according to PipeCare QA/QC procedures and project schedules.
• Perform ILI runs in line with POF and API standards, ensuring no data loss.
• Conduct cleaning runs to meet PipeCare cleaning criteria and perform site and DGP surveys.
• Coordinate activities among PipeCare team, subcontractors, clients and other parties.
• Carry out additional tasks assigned by the Team Leader.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of recent experience as a Field Technician or in EPC operations.
• Experience in the oil and gas sector, preferably with ILI exposure.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Ability to travel extensively across Europe and work flexible hours.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lb and work at heights in refinery or plant environments.
