Extracurricular Internship: Hardware Test Engineer - eBike

About the role

Join Bosch's eBike team in Ovar as a Hardware Test Engineer Intern. You will contribute to the development of next‑generation eBike electronic hardware, working on displays, remote controls and sensors while gaining hands‑on experience in a global engineering environment.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in the full product design lifecycle, from requirements analysis to serial production introduction.
• Act as the hardware design liaison, ensuring alignment with production processes.
• Specify and approve automatic testing stations in collaboration with the production plant.
• Identify, analyse and resolve technical issues during ramp‑up and series production phases.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary, cross‑site teams to align designs, tests and specifications with other global eBike locations.

Required profile

• University degree (Bachelor or Master) in Electronic, Electrical, Mechatronic, Computer Engineering or a related discipline.
• Familiarity with failure analysis and structured problem‑solving methodologies.
• Knowledge of assembly and interconnect technologies such as PCB technologies and soldering processes.
• Preferably experience with consumer‑electronics outdoor products or display/ECU/IoT solutions.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
