Production Team Lead

About the role

Hovione is seeking a Production Team Lead to oversee all production activities in a cGMP environment. The role ensures safe, efficient, right‑first‑time operations while fostering a strong safety and quality culture.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise production activities to meet cGMP, HSE and business requirements.
• Identify risks, implement mitigation actions and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Drive continuous improvement of processes, equipment and team performance.
• Coach, train and develop the production team, managing workload and performance feedback.
• Coordinate production schedules, equipment readiness and respond to deviations or downtime.
• Maintain accurate production documentation in SAP, LIMS and SchedulePro.
• Ensure a clean, organized facility with proper PPE use and equipment calibration.
• Support audits, investigations and hazard assessments, reporting issues proactively.

Required profile

• Full secondary education plus science or engineering qualification or equivalent experience.
• Mandatory experience in manufacturing/production, especially fine chemicals or pharmaceuticals.
• Strong knowledge of ChemOps, PharmOps and GMP regulations.
• Proven ability to coordinate teams and follow technical competence matrices.
• Basic numerical capability and strong written and verbal communication in English.
• Computer literate with knowledge of 5S, management indicators, waste management and continuous improvement systems.
