Engineering Manager - Performance & Reliability

About the role

Feedzai is looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the Performance & Reliability team. You will own the reliability roadmap for a platform that processes over 10 billion events per month, ensuring ultra‑low latency and 24/7 availability.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a high‑performing engineering team, fostering technical excellence.
• Own the reliability roadmap, prioritising technical debt and driving automation.
• Champion performance profiling, capacity planning and latency optimisation at scale.
• Build and improve incident response processes, post‑mortems and on‑call rotations.
• Partner with Product, Security and Customer Success to define and enforce engineering best practices.
• Assess team capacity to deliver platform commitments predictably.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience building and operating large‑scale distributed systems.
• Proven track record managing software engineering teams in high‑reliability environments.
• Deep knowledge of major cloud providers (AWS, GCP or Azure), Kubernetes and Infrastructure‑as‑Code.
• Mission‑critical mindset with experience meeting strict SLAs and latency budgets.
• Drive to eliminate whole classes of failures, not just patch symptoms.
• Ability to provide candid mentorship and foster a psychologically safe culture.
• Technical engagement sufficient to guide architecture, security and reliability decisions.
