Engineering Manager

About the role

Bloq.it is looking for an Engineering Manager to lead a multi‑skilled team that builds and maintains its cutting‑edge smart locker platform. You will be responsible for translating product vision into reliable, high‑quality software and firmware solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage backend, frontend, and firmware engineers.
• Set clear objectives, provide performance feedback, and conduct development reviews.
• Ensure code quality by enforcing SOLID principles, TDD, design patterns and adequate test coverage.
• Collaborate with other engineering leads to drive continuous improvement.
• Work closely with Product Managers and senior leadership to align engineering output with business goals.
• Support hiring, onboarding, and professional growth of team members.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an engineering manager or similar leadership role in a tech‑driven environment.
• Hands‑on background as a software engineer.
• Strong communication skills in English.
• Experience scaling teams in fast‑growing scale‑ups.
• Ability to work with both hardware and software products is a plus.
