About the role

The Lisbon Marriott Hotel is seeking a motivated Second Waiter for its Tapas & Tiles service area. You will be part of a dynamic team delivering high‑quality food and beverage experiences to guests in Portugal’s capital.

Key responsibilities

• Serve food and alcoholic beverages to guests, following event type and service standards.
• Set tables, answer menu questions, and communicate special dietary needs to the kitchen.
• Record orders in the MICROS POS system and present accurate checks for payment.
• Check guest satisfaction throughout the service and address any concerns.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas, china, glassware, and complete closing duties such as restocking and turning off lights.
• Adhere to all safety, security, and company policies, including uniform standards.

Required profile

• Fluent in English and Portuguese.
• Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods and lift up to 25 lb unaided (over 50 lb with assistance).
• Capability to work on uneven or slippery surfaces and navigate stairs or service ramps.
• Strong communication skills and a professional appearance.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the MICROS POS system.
