Director of IT & Security

About the role

Ajaia is seeking a Director of IT & Security to lead internal IT operations, information security, and compliance across a fast‑moving, multi‑cloud environment. This hands‑on leadership position will shape the technology backbone while leveraging AI tools to automate routine tasks and improve monitoring.

Key responsibilities

• Own all internal IT functions, including device management, access provisioning, and employee onboarding.
• Define and enforce security policies, continuous monitoring, and incident‑response procedures.
• Manage compliance programs for HIPAA, SOC 2, and vendor risk assessments.
• Administer and secure multi‑cloud infrastructure on GCP and Azure.
• Drive automation and AI‑enabled workflows to increase operational efficiency.
• Build and mentor a small team as the organization scales.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of experience in IT operations, security operations, or cloud security.
• Proven hands‑on experience with multi‑cloud environments, specifically GCP and Azure.
• Direct experience preparing for or managing HIPAA and SOC 2 audits.
• Demonstrated ability to design and implement security policies, access controls, and incident‑response plans.
