Director, Human Resources – Europe & North America

About the role

We are seeking a Director of Human Resources for a 12‑month maternity‑leave contract to support our employees and leaders across Europe and North America. Based in Lisbon with a hybrid schedule, you will combine strategic thinking with hands‑on execution to create positive employee experiences throughout their journey with us.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with leaders across Europe and North America to translate team challenges and business goals into effective people strategies.
• Act as a trusted advisor and coach, guiding leaders on people decisions, team strengthening, and fostering a thriving work environment.
• Support and execute HR initiatives across the employee lifecycle, including performance management, talent development, engagement, compensation, and organizational planning.
• Provide thoughtful guidance on employee‑relations matters, balancing business needs with empathy and confidentiality.
• Collaborate with the broader HR team to deliver impactful programs and experiences for employees.
• Leverage people insights and data to identify trends, recommend solutions, and enable informed decision‑making.
• Build strong relationships with employees, serving as a reliable source of support and guidance.

Required profile

• 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including support for global teams across multiple regions.
• Background as an HR Business Partner or HR leader working with senior leaders in fast‑moving organizations.
• Deep understanding of HR practices in Europe and North America.
• Passion for partnering with leaders to navigate growth, change, and new opportunities.
• Strong employee‑relations experience with the ability to handle sensitive situations with care and sound judgment.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to quickly build trust at all organizational levels.
• Hands‑on, solutions‑focused approach that balances strategic thinking with execution.
• Genuine interest in creating great employee experiences and helping people do their best work.
