Cyber Security Trainee – 12‑Month Internship

About the role

Nokia’s Mobile Infrastructure Supply Chain Security team is looking for a motivated Cyber Security Trainee to support the protection of our critical network infrastructure. This 12‑month hybrid internship in Lisbon offers hands‑on experience in application security, compliance, and risk assessment within a fast‑moving telecom environment.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and run application vulnerability scans using approved security tools.
• Assist in creating remediation plans for identified vulnerabilities and validate false‑positives.
• Gather and organise evidence for compliance reviews and security audits.
• Participate in security assessments, risk identification, and recommendation of mitigation measures.
• Stay current with emerging cyber‑threat trends and help implement protective controls.

Required profile

• Currently completing a BSc or MSc in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic understanding of IT/ICT architecture.

Required skills

• Experience with vulnerability scanning tools.
• Familiarity with security frameworks such as ISO 27001.
• Knowledge of the NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
