Construction Manager – Luxury Villa Project in Barcelona

About the role

Utopia is seeking a hands‑on Construction Manager to lead the on‑site delivery of a high‑end luxury villa in Barcelona. The role will act as the primary link between remote design teams and the construction site, ensuring the project meets Utopia’s standards for quality, schedule and budget.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all on‑site activities, ensuring compliance with local building codes, safety regulations and environmental standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections and address safety or quality issues promptly.
• Ensure construction follows approved plans, drawings and specifications.
• Collaborate with the Project Manager and Head of Construction to execute the construction plan, manage schedules, allocate resources and oversee material procurement.
• Maintain high standards of quality control and craftsmanship.
• Monitor site‑level expenses, keeping the project within the approved budget.
• Coordinate subcontractors, skilled labour and on‑site teams to sustain workflow and resolve challenges.
• Step in for the Head of Construction when required, including attending meetings and contributing to decisions.
• Maintain accurate records of site activities, progress reports and conditions.

Required profile

• Proactive, detail‑oriented professional with the ability to work independently.
• Strong leadership skills and experience managing construction teams.
• Willingness to relocate to Barcelona if not already based there.
• Commitment to delivering the level of excellence expected by luxury‑hospitality clients.
