Junior Project Manager

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Project Manager to support the Project Manager and Construction Management Services Team in delivering luxury residential and resort projects at Costaterra Golf & Ocean Club in Comporta, Portugal. The role involves assisting throughout all project phases, from pre‑construction planning to on‑site execution and close‑out.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager in reviewing design documents, developing scope, preparing and tracking RFPs, and evaluating contractors.
• Support contract preparation, execution, and administration, ensuring accurate documentation.
• Maintain project schedules, budgets, and progress reports, monitoring milestones, risks, and deliverables.
• Coordinate stakeholder communication, schedule and document site and coordination meetings, and track action items.
• Manage project correspondence such as RFIs, submittals, and change orders, ensuring timely routing and documentation.
• Review shop drawings, product data, and material samples for compliance with project requirements.
• Monitor site progress, safety, coordination, and quality, escalating issues as needed.
• Assist with cost management by collecting and analyzing progress valuations, payment applications, forecasts, and change orders.

Required profile

• Recent graduate or early‑career professional with a degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or related field.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively with owners, consultants, contractors, and internal teams.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• Familiarity with construction project documentation (RFPs, RFIs, submittals, change orders).
• Basic understanding of project scheduling and budgeting concepts.
