Compliance & Privacy Specialist – EU

About the role

TransPerfect is seeking a Compliance & Privacy Specialist to lead its EU‑focused data protection initiatives. You will manage data subject requests, ensure regulatory compliance, and support internal and client‑facing teams across multiple time zones.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of all Data Subject Request (DSR) handling, monitoring deadlines and coordinating tasks.
• Lead investigations and draft responses for Data Subject Access Requests (DSAR).
• Monitor, research, and implement new or updated privacy regulations.
• Communicate compliance and privacy matters to stakeholders, including clients, sales, and management.
• Participate in internal audit activities, including coordination, interviews, reporting, and follow‑up.
• Travel as needed and work flexible hours to support global teams.
• Drive continuous improvement of internal processes and request‑tracking systems.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in compliance or privacy, with a bachelor’s degree, or 1 year with a relevant legal certification (e.g., CIPP, CIPM).
• Proven ability to work in a high‑performance, collaborative environment.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English and native language.
