Automation QA Engineer – Lisbon/Braga/Coimbra

About the role

We are a global technology firm seeking an Automation QA Engineer to own the end‑to‑end quality assurance lifecycle for multi‑client projects. You will design test strategies, build automated scripts, and lead performance testing while collaborating with development, business analysis, and DevOps teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and execute automated UI tests with Selenium and API tests with Newman, integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
• Lead performance testing using JMeter: create test plans, execute load and stress tests, analyse bottlenecks and propose solutions.
• Perform manual testing activities, including test case creation, functional, regression and exploratory testing.
• Apply AI‑driven testing techniques to optimise test case generation, coverage and defect prediction.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on test strategy and early defect detection.
• Mentor junior team members on automation best practices and performance testing methodologies.

Required profile

• 2‑5 years of experience in software QA and test automation (Bachelor + Master + 2 years or Bachelor + 5 years).
• Strong hands‑on experience with JMeter for load and stress testing.
• Expertise in Selenium (UI) and Newman (API) automation.
• Proven experience with AI‑driven testing tools and techniques.
• ISTQB certification or equivalent.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.
