Accountant Specialist

About the role

Devoteam is looking for an Accountant Specialist to join its finance team. The role supports the company’s digital transformation projects by ensuring accurate financial records and providing insightful analysis in a fast‑moving technology environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger entries.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities by reconciling accounts, analysing variances and posting adjusting entries.
• Coordinate internal and external audit processes, preparing schedules and responding to auditor inquiries.
• Monitor compliance with accounting policies, identify control weaknesses and recommend process improvements.
• Perform financial analysis to highlight trends, assess performance and deliver actionable insights to management.
• Evaluate and implement enhancements to financial systems to improve efficiency and reporting accuracy.
• Collaborate with treasury, procurement and other departments to ensure data consistency and resolve discrepancies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in accounting, billing and invoicing functions.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
• Detail‑oriented with excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a cross‑functional team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
