Accountant (M/F) – Porto

About the role

Nortempo Porto is seeking an experienced Accountant (M/F) to support a client in the Porto area. The role involves handling group accounting, monthly closings, tax reporting, and liaising with auditors and partners in an international environment.

Key responsibilities

• Apply group accounting policies and internal control procedures (IcoFr framework).
• Participate in process efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Execute monthly closing tasks and prepare monthly packages for partners.
• Analyse balance‑sheet data at consolidation level, IFRS and directional reporting.
• Assist in contract analysis and related legal documentation.
• Prepare audit packages, coordinate with external auditors, and handle ad‑hoc audit missions.
• Compile tax packages in cooperation with the Tax Manager and support tax reporting.
• Prepare and file financial statements for assigned entities.

Required profile

• Business school or finance & accounting degree.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role or at an audit firm.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS 15, IFRS 16, IAS 37 and international statutory accounting and tax requirements.
• Fluency in English for effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
