Accountant – Financial Reporting & Bookkeeping

About the role

Olala! is seeking an experienced Accountant to manage financial transactions, produce accurate reports, and support the finance function of its international hospitality and real‑estate operations. The role combines day‑to‑day bookkeeping with strategic reporting and audit support.

Key responsibilities

• Issue customer invoices, reconcile incoming payments and generate weekly collection reports.
• Record supplier invoices, match them to purchase orders and manage accounts payable.
• Prepare payment suggestion forms, drive the approval cycle and execute payments.
• Reconcile outgoing payments, bank accounts, foreign‑currency differences and inter‑company balances.
• Process, reconcile and book monthly payroll and statutory filings.
• Produce periodic financial statements, ad‑hoc reports and budgeting/forecasting analyses.
• Support cyclical audits and ensure compliance with corporate guidelines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field (preferably obtained in Portugal).
• Minimum 4 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
• Fluent English with strong interpersonal and business acumen.

Required skills

• NetSuite (or similar ERP) experience.
• Proficiency with accounting software for journal entries and reconciliations.
• Payroll processing and statutory reporting.
• Bank reconciliation and foreign‑currency accounting.
• Financial statement preparation and budgeting/forecasting.
