Accountant (Contabilista)

About the role

Olala! is seeking an experienced Accountant to manage financial transactions, produce accurate reports, and support the finance function of its international hospitality and real‑estate operations. The role combines day‑to‑day bookkeeping with periodic reporting and analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Post invoices, cash receipts and supplier documents to accounting journals or software.
• Issue customer invoices, reconcile incoming payments and prepare weekly collection reports.
• Record accounts‑payable invoices, match them to purchase orders and manage payment cycles.
• Reconcile bank accounts, foreign‑currency differences and inter‑company balances.
• Prepare, book and review monthly payroll and statutory filings.
• Compile periodic financial statements, tax documents and ad‑hoc management reports.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field (preferably obtained in Portugal).
• Minimum 4 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal abilities and solid business acumen.

Required skills

• NetSuite (or similar ERP) experience – a plus.
• Proficiency with accounting software and financial reporting tools.
• Bank reconciliation and cash‑management expertise.
• Payroll processing and statutory compliance.
• Tax preparation and filing.
• Budgeting, forecasting and ad‑hoc reporting capabilities.
