Account Reconciliation Accountant – Finance Role

About the role

Join Siemens' Center of Competence for Account Reconciliation (CoC Recon) in Portugal. You will support global delivery centers by optimizing, harmonising, and digitising account reconciliation processes, helping the Finance and Procurement Services business line deliver reliable, data‑driven solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Perform thorough reconciliations of various general‑ledger accounts, with a focus on payroll accounting.
• Identify and comment on discrepancies promptly, ensuring accurate financial records.
• Maintain compliance with accounting principles and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to streamline reconciliation processes and increase automation.
• Support the design and implementation of digital solutions for account reconciliation, working with product managers, engineers, and innovators.
• Drive continuous improvement by analysing opportunities, iterating strategies, and owning scalable business outcomes.
• Assist with the implementation and automation of reconciliation tools.
• Coordinate with Business Operations for reconciliation activities within the Western Europe & Africa scope.

Required profile

• Professional with a detailed understanding of finance processes and accounting.
• Experience in general‑ledger and payroll reconciliation.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to work collaboratively across functions.
