Travel Consultant – Remote

About the role

The Travel Consultant will manage travel arrangements for faculty, staff and campus groups of California State University Long Beach. This remote position involves booking domestic, international and group travel using the Sabre reservation system.

Key responsibilities

• Book air, car and hotel reservations for domestic and international travel via Sabre GDS.
• Coordinate group travel logistics for university events and programs.
• Respond promptly and accurately to client inquiries by phone and email.
• Maintain professional client relations and ensure courteous service.
• Protect university data and adhere to the company’s PCI compliance standards.

Required profile

• Experience handling travel bookings for corporate or academic clients.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a remote setting.
• Excellent communication skills for telephone and email correspondence.
• Commitment to data security and compliance with PCI standards.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Sabre Global Distribution System (GDS).
