Systems Administrator - Infrastructure

About the role

We are seeking a Systems Administrator – Infrastructure to manage and optimise a large‑scale technology environment. The role focuses on ensuring stability, security and efficiency across core infrastructure platforms, including virtualization, backup and datacenter operations.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and maintain VMware virtualization platforms.
• Manage backup and data recovery solutions, preferably using Dell PowerProtect Data Manager or equivalent.
• Support day‑to‑day datacenter operations in a large‑scale environment.
• Monitor, analyse and optimise server and network infrastructure.
• Contribute to infrastructure stability, availability and operational continuity.
• Participate in weekly standby and on‑call rotations.
• Collaborate with technical teams to deliver reliable and secure infrastructure services.
• Document procedures and share operational knowledge.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Systems Administrator or similar infrastructure role.
• Strong knowledge of VMware virtualization technologies.
• Hands‑on experience with at least one backup platform such as Dell PowerProtect Data Manager.
• Familiarity with datacenter environments and infrastructure operations.
• Ability to work on‑site in Bobadela 1–2 days per week (hybrid model).
• Clear communication, teamwork and a responsible approach to operational support.
• Solution‑oriented mindset with focus on reliability, security and service continuity.
