Senior Applied AI Engineer, AI Platform

About the role

As a Senior Applied AI Engineer on the AI Platform team, you will take AI at bunch from experimental to production‑ready, building agents that automate core fund‑operations and ensuring they are reliable, cost‑effective, and compliant with EU data‑residency rules.

Key responsibilities

• Build and ship AI agents that automate fund‑operations workflows, from prototype to production.
• Design and maintain the evaluation layer, including test cases, regression suites and human review to ensure accuracy, latency and cost targets.
• Own the AI application architecture, handling orchestration, tool contracts, memory, RAG and human‑in‑the‑loop controls.
• Run agents in production with versioned rollouts, feature flags, rate limits, provider fallback and EU data‑residency compliance.

Required profile

• 5+ years of production software engineering experience, with at least one end‑to‑end LLM‑powered capability.
• Deep expertise in agent orchestration, context engineering (RAG, multi‑agent design) using frameworks such as Mastra, ai‑sdk or LangGraph.
• Proven ability to evaluate non‑deterministic AI systems through real‑data test cases, regression testing and human review.
• Strong debugging skills: reading traces, diagnosing failures, tuning cost and latency, handling provider rate limits.
