SQL Developer – Data Reporting Solutions

About the role

The partner company is seeking a SQL Developer based in Portugal to design, implement and support data‑driven reporting solutions for a variety of clients. You will work closely with stakeholders to translate business requirements into reliable SQL‑based implementations and ensure seamless integration across systems.

Key responsibilities

• Engage directly with clients, managers and stakeholders to gather reporting needs and define technical specifications.
• Develop, test and maintain SQL objects such as views, stored procedures, functions and tables in Microsoft SQL Server.
• Connect remotely to client environments to install, configure, and support reporting software.
• Investigate existing data sources, extract and analyse data, and optimise database performance.
• Apply fixes, updates and performance improvements, and troubleshoot connectivity or networking issues.
• Collaborate with Windows Server environments and client IT teams when required.
• Deliver user training, documentation and post‑implementation support.

Required profile

• Strong experience in Microsoft SQL Server development and advanced SQL querying.
• Practical problem‑solving approach with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
• Experience working directly with clients and delivering end‑to‑end implementations.
