Software Engineer II

About the role

Talkdesk is looking for a Software Engineer II to join its engineering team that builds the next generation of its cloud‑based contact‑center platform. You will work on micro‑service based products, collaborating with product owners and other engineers to deliver scalable, reliable solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain microservices and APIs using Kotlin, Java and Spring Boot.
• Implement scalable, stable, and user‑friendly features that support current traffic and future growth.
• Participate in an agile environment with Git version control, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines and continuous deployment.
• Collaborate with product and cross‑functional teams to ensure requirements are met.
• Provide technical guidance, document architecture, and mentor junior engineers.
• Integrate Talkdesk with external systems via APIs, middleware and custom development while ensuring data integrity and security.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics or a related engineering field.
• 3+ years of professional software development experience, preferably on cloud‑based applications.
• Strong object‑oriented programming skills and experience with service‑oriented and event‑driven architectures.
• Proven ability to write clean, secure, standards‑compliant code.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
