Software Engineer (AI & Backend Focus)

About the role

We are looking for a Software Engineer who will own the backend and AI capabilities of SecureGPT, an internal Generative AI platform. You will design, build, and deliver end‑to‑end features that power a ChatGPT‑like interface, a Model Hub, and AI‑driven workflows for teams across France, Spain and Portugal.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop new backend features for the SecureGPT platform.
• Build APIs and services using Node.js, JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Integrate large language models (LLMs) into production tools and internal applications.
• Implement Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) workflows, knowledge‑base processing and document‑management capabilities.
• Develop and integrate Agentic AI components and explore web‑search capabilities within AI pipelines.
• Contribute to technical design, planning and architecture of complex solutions.
• Define and execute testing strategies, including end‑to‑end tests.
• Support DevOps practices to ensure deployment readiness, reliability and maintainability.
• Collaborate with distributed teams and take full ownership from concept to delivery.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience as a Software Engineer.
• Strong backend development background with Node.js.
• Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Proven ability to design, plan and deliver technical solutions end‑to‑end.
• Hands‑on experience integrating LLM APIs and building AI‑based features.
• Knowledge of RAG patterns and Agentic AI frameworks.
• Experience with prompt engineering and LLM‑driven automation.
• Solid understanding of software‑engineering best practices and end‑to‑end testing.
• Familiarity with GitHub collaborative workflows and modern DevOps practices.
• Minimum B1 English level, critical thinking, problem‑solving and a curiosity for new technologies.
