Senior Software Engineer - SSC

About the role

Elastic is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the self‑service cloud growth team. The role focuses on building and improving the onboarding and trial experience for both human users and agents, helping drive Elastic Cloud adoption.

Key responsibilities

• Develop full‑stack features for the product onboarding and trial experience, contributing to both backend and frontend code.
• Design and implement scalable APIs and new product features.
• Collaborate with product managers and designers to plan, design, and ship functionality.
• Build agent‑centric interfaces that guide onboarding and trial workflows.
• Work with Elastic solution teams to integrate cloud and Kibana onboarding flows.
• Define data evolution strategies to handle schema changes without breaking existing functionality.

Required profile

• Strong proficiency in React and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience with Node.js frameworks such as Hapi and Next.js.
• Solid front‑end skills including HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design.
• Comfort with RESTful APIs, asynchronous programming, and Git.
• Hands‑on experience deploying and operating software in production.
• Ability to independently plan, design, implement, and lead projects.
• Problem‑solving mindset with attention to detail.
• Knowledge of NoSQL databases like DynamoDB and Elasticsearch.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, thriving in fast‑paced environments.
