Senior .NET Backend Developer (Hybrid – Lisbon)

About the role

We are looking for a skilled .NET Backend Developer to join KCS IT’s Lisbon team. The role is hybrid, allowing you to work both on‑site and remotely while delivering high‑quality backend solutions for a variety of clients.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain backend services using .NET.NET Core and ASP.NET Core.
• Build and consume RESTful APIs following best‑practice service design.
• Work with relational databases such as SQL Server and PostgreSQL, including data modelling and query optimisation.
• Implement data access layers using Entity Framework or comparable ORMs.
• Collaborate with DevOps pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions) to ensure continuous integration and delivery.
• Containerise applications with Docker and, where required, orchestrate with Kubernetes.
• Write automated tests using xUnit or NUnit and support a microservices architecture.

Required profile

• 4–5 years of professional experience as a backend developer.
• Strong proficiency in C# and the .NET ecosystem.
• Solid understanding of relational databases and SQL.
• Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD tools.
• Fluent spoken and written English.
