Senior Linux Systems Administrator

About the role

GRiT® is looking for a Senior Linux Systems Administrator to join its high‑responsibility team. You will manage and optimise critical production Linux environments, ensuring high availability and performance for mission‑critical services.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and support Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL 7/8) servers in production.
• Perform advanced OS‑level troubleshooting (CPU, memory, disk, networking, performance).
• Maintain and improve highly available infrastructure using automation tools.
• Develop Bash/Shell scripts to automate routine operations.
• Implement and manage configuration with Ansible (and optionally Puppet).
• Monitor systems with Zabbix, Prometheus or Grafana and respond to incidents 24/7.
• Work with virtualization platforms such as VMware.
• Collaborate on containerisation projects using Docker and Kubernetes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in Linux systems administration within production or financial environments.
• Strong knowledge of RHEL 7/8 and high‑availability concepts.
• Ability to work autonomously in small, high‑responsibility teams.
• Experience supporting 24/7 operations and handling critical incidents.
