Senior (Principal) Databricks Engineer

About the role

IG&H is seeking a Senior/Principal Data Engineer to join its RevoData consultancy. You will design and build scalable, future‑proof data platforms that enable impactful analytics solutions for clients across financial services, retail and healthcare.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of architecture, project delivery and client engagement, acting as a trusted advisor.
• Design, build and evolve reusable data models, architectures and platform capabilities.
• Lead development of complex ETL/ELT pipelines using Spark and PySpark on Databricks and Azure.
• Architect and optimise modern data lakes and warehouses with a focus on performance, security and governance.
• Bring analytics, machine‑learning and data‑science solutions into production through robust engineering.

Required profile

• 5+ years experience as a Data Engineer delivering platform and analytics solutions.
• Strong expertise in SQL, Python and data‑processing frameworks such as PySpark or Pandas.
• Hands‑on experience with Databricks (Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Delta Live Tables) and Azure cloud services.
• Experience designing scalable, secure data architectures and leading workstreams.
• Excellent communication and consultancy skills, fluent in English.

What we offer

• Hybrid work model (minimum 1 day per week in Lisbon office).
• Permanent contract from day one with a gross annual salary between €44,211 and €66,750.
