Senior Android Developer – Remote (Portugal)

About the role

Wire IT is seeking a Senior Android Developer to join its remote team in Portugal. The role involves building and maintaining Android applications using modern technologies and contributing to a fast‑moving, agile environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Android applications using Kotlin and Java.
• Implement UI with Jetpack Compose and XML layouts.
• Apply modern architectural patterns such as MVVM.
• Write unit and UI tests to ensure code quality.
• Collaborate with the team to deliver high‑quality, scalable mobile solutions.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in Android development.
• Senior‑level expertise with Kotlin (Kotlin Multiplatform a plus).
• Ability to read and work with legacy Java code.
• Strong understanding of software architecture and testing.
