Python Backend Developer – Cloud & API Development

About the role

We are looking for a Python Backend Developer to design and build scalable services and APIs that power our digital transformation projects across Europe. You will work within a multidisciplinary team of cloud experts, designers and consultants to deliver high‑quality solutions for our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs using Python.
• Architect and implement API solutions that meet business and technical requirements.
• Create and optimise database schemas, queries and data models for SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis) stores.
• Write clean, well‑documented code following coding standards and design patterns.
• Conduct code reviews, troubleshoot issues and support production environments.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle from analysis to deployment and monitoring.
• Implement automated testing and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 3+ years of professional experience in backend development with Python.
• Strong proficiency in Python and experience with Django, Flask or FastAPI.
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design principles.
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis).
• Proficiency with Git version control.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
• Fluent English, both spoken and written.
