PowerBI Developer

About the role

Decskill is seeking a PowerBI Developer to join its growing team of data professionals. You will work on modern data platforms built on Microsoft Fabric, delivering end‑to‑end Business Intelligence solutions that turn raw data into actionable insights for our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Integrate and onboard new data sources into Microsoft Fabric using the internal ingestion and orchestration framework.
• Maintain Fabric data platform components, including pipelines, datasets, and semantic models.
• Develop complete Power BI solutions covering data ingestion, transformation, semantic modeling, and visualisation.
• Implement and optimise data transformation logic with Power Query (M), SQL, and Python.
• Design scalable, reusable data models focused on performance, usability and governance.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate functional requirements into technical specifications.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation and enforce data‑quality checks.
• Monitor, troubleshoot and optimise data pipelines, datasets and reports for reliability and performance.
• Implement and manage security models, including Row‑Level Security and workspace role governance.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence or data engineering.
• Strong expertise in the full Power BI development lifecycle.
• Advanced knowledge of DAX and Power Query (M) optimisation techniques.
• Proficiency in SQL and hands‑on experience with Microsoft Fabric.
• Practical experience using Python for data processing and automation.
• Solid understanding of data‑modeling principles and data‑architecture concepts.
• Native Portuguese language skills and fluent English.
