Motor Software Engineer – eBike

About the role

As a Motor Software Engineer for Bosch eBike, you will contribute to the development of intelligent, connected cycling solutions. You will work on control algorithms for brush‑less DC motors, turning simulation models into production‑ready embedded software.

Key responsibilities

• Design, simulate and optimise control strategies for BLDC motors using MATLAB/Simulink.
• Translate Simulink models into efficient, production‑grade code for embedded controllers.
• Conduct systematic testing – from virtual simulations and bench tests to full‑bike validation rides.
• Analyse system performance, identify efficiency or torque‑accuracy improvements and implement enhancements.
• Collaborate with hardware and software teams in an agile, international environment, defining requirements and interfaces.
• Maintain thorough documentation to ensure knowledge retention and team alignment.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Control Engineering or a comparable technical field.
• Professional experience in model‑based software development with MATLAB/Simulink.
• Strong understanding of control theory and motor control concepts.
