Manufacturing Operator I – Lyophilization

About the role

The Manufacturing Operator I – Lyophilization is responsible for cutting, inspection, packaging and boxing operations on a collagen assembly line. The role involves handling raw materials, operating a range of processing equipment, and ensuring product quality in a regulated manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of processing equipment following SOPs.
• Handle, remove and dispose of hazardous materials safely.
• Set up and operate equipment such as scales, pH meters, mixing tanks, shakers, homogenizers, lyophilization machines and formaldehyde cross‑linking chambers.
• Thaw, sample, clean, weigh and dispense collagen for formulation, calculate raw‑material requirements and adjust pH as needed.
• Pour, level and load dispersion trays into lyophilization machines, select appropriate recipes, unload and inspect lyophilized sheets.
• Prepare formaldehyde solutions and perform cross‑linking of lyophilized sheets according to product parameters.
• Monitor meters, gauges, temperatures and pressures, making adjustments per SOPs.
• Maintain accurate documentation of all manufacturing activities and support inventory counting.
• Coordinate sampling and testing with the QC laboratory.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training preferred.
• Ability to follow detailed SOPs and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work on a production line with varying product models.
