Manufacturing Operator I – Collagen Lyophilization

About the role

The Manufacturing Operator I – Collagen Lyo works on the collagen assembly line, performing cutting, inspection, packaging and boxing operations. The role involves handling raw materials, operating a range of specialized equipment, and ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures in a regulated manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of processing equipment following SOPs.
• Handle, remove and dispose of hazardous materials safely.
• Set up and operate equipment such as scales, pH meters, mixing tanks, mixers, shakers, homogenizers, lyophilization machines and formaldehyde cross‑linking chambers.
• Thaw, sample, clean, weigh and dispense collagen for formulation, calculate raw‑material requirements and adjust pH as required.
• Monitor meters, gauges, temperatures and pressures, making adjustments per procedure.
• Pour, level and load dispersion trays into lyophilization machines, select appropriate recipes, unload, inspect and pack lyophilized sheets.
• Prepare formaldehyde solution and perform cross‑linking of lyophilized sheets.
• Conduct periodic tray evaluations, support inventory counting and perform inventory transactions.
• Document all manufacturing activities accurately and maintain clean, orderly work areas in line with EHS requirements.
• Coordinate sampling and testing with the QC laboratory and propose SOP revisions as needed.

Required profile

• Willingness to work on a production line and adapt to different work stations as production needs change.
