Junior Product Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Product Engineer to own end‑to‑end features that connect environmental sensors to users. You will work across the full stack – from data pipelines and APIs to real‑time dashboards and interactive maps – while collaborating closely with our operations team.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain front‑end interfaces such as real‑time dashboards, interactive maps and data‑visualisation components.
• Support data pipelines that ingest, process and store live sensor data, understanding the operational context.
• Contribute to real‑time alerting systems and rule‑based engines, defining thresholds and anomaly‑detection logic.
• Integrate external datasets (weather, hydrology, municipal systems) with internal data flows.
• Act as a bridge between Engineering and Operations, translating field feedback into technical improvements.
• Use AI‑assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code) to accelerate coding and improve quality.

• Curiosity about AI‑assisted coding and willingness to experiment with new tools.
• Strong interest in environmental technology and IoT deployments.

Required skills

• Front‑end development (dashboards, interactive maps, data visualisation).

• Integration of external datasets and services.
• Experience with AI‑assisted development tools such as Claude Code.
