Junior Finance Analyst

About the role

Glovo is seeking a Junior Finance Analyst to join its Finance Team in Lisbon, Portugal. You will work closely with cross‑functional partners to improve financial processes, support decision‑making, and ensure accurate reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with operations, marketing, finance operations, and procurement to guarantee profitable execution.
• Reconcile management reports with financial statements.
• Implement standardized procedures and optimisation initiatives, leveraging AI tools where appropriate.
• Conduct ad‑hoc financial analyses to support strategic decisions.
• Compare actual results with business plans and forecasts to assess financial status.
• Deliver insightful business metrics (YoY, MoM, vs. budget) to finance stakeholders.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end closing and reconciliation activities.
• Serve as the primary finance contact for the Commercial team, providing insights and operational support.

Required profile

• Educational background in Management, Economics, Business, Finance or a related field.
• 1‑2 years of experience in strategy consulting, investment banking, controlling, FP&A, or auditing within a multinational environment.
• Advanced proficiency in Portuguese and English.
• Self‑driven, organised, detail‑oriented and able to prioritise tasks effectively.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Advanced Google Sheets.
• Knowledge of SAP (a plus).
