Senior Accountant

About the role

The Senior Accountant will join the finance team at Hilton Vilamoura As Cascatas Golf Resort & Spa in Faro, overseeing the resort’s financial operations. This full‑time, on‑site position focuses on accurate reporting, budget management, and compliance within the hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Manage budgets, forecasts and variance analysis for the resort.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing.
• Perform reconciliations of bank, cash, and subsidiary ledgers.
• Support internal and external audits, as well as tax filings.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights for strategic decisions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Relevant accounting certification (CPA, ACCA or equivalent) is highly desirable.
• Proven experience in financial accounting, reporting and audit preparation.
• Prior experience in the hospitality or hotel sector is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset and organizational abilities.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounting software and related tools.
