IT Support Engineer

About the role

Join Metyis' global internal IT team at the Porto Digital Campus as an IT Support Engineer. You will be the first point of contact for end‑users, ensuring smooth operation of hardware, software and workplace technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Assist and guide end users on standard office applications, workplace technologies and IT best practices.
• Troubleshoot, analyse and resolve issues related to hardware, software, Microsoft 365, connectivity and other services.
• Handle employee onboarding and offboarding, configuring devices, accounts and access.
• Install, configure and deploy Windows 11 and macOS devices using Microsoft Intune and Autopilot.
• Support and manage iPhones, iPads and Android smartphones and tablets.
• Monitor hardware lifecycle activities – warranties, replacements, repairs and refreshes.
• Provide support for Microsoft Teams, meeting rooms and video‑conferencing systems.
• Maintain IT manuals, knowledge articles and process documentation.
• Contribute to workplace modernization, automation, cloud, security and AI initiatives.
• Collaborate with internal IT teams and external partners to ensure consistent support.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of onsite IT/Workplace Support experience.
• Familiarity with standard IT support processes and tools.
• Experience managing standard office hardware and applications.

Required skills

• Windows 11 installation and management.
• macOS / MacBook installation and management.
• Microsoft Intune and Autopilot deployment.
• iPhone, iPad and Android device support.
• Microsoft 365 administration (Entra ID, Exchange Online, Intune).
• Office 365 applications: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Microsoft Teams and video‑conferencing system support.
