IT Security Trainee Internship

About the role

Join the Siemens Lisbon Tech Hub as an IT Security Trainee and support the Digital Industries IT team in applying security standards across diverse technology environments. This 12‑month internship offers hands‑on experience in cybersecurity, incident handling, and process documentation within a global industrial leader.

Key responsibilities

• Support daily security activities and apply the internal security framework.
• Review service documentation and processes for compliance.
• Create and manage security exceptions.
• Participate in the exception handling and incident handling processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Telecommunications or related field.
• Basic knowledge of security concepts, networking, cloud environments and Linux.
• Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, Shell or PowerShell.
• Strong ability to learn new technologies quickly.
• Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
