IT Security Specialist

About the role

Volkswagen Financial Services in Porto is looking for a hands‑on IT Security Specialist to join the HQ team. You will be responsible for protecting our core and satellite systems against internal and external threats, ensuring robust endpoint security across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, troubleshoot and report security‑related incidents.
• Establish and maintain endpoint security processes, including hardening, patch and vulnerability management.
• Implement logging, monitoring, malware protection, data loss prevention and threat‑management controls.
• Conduct IT‑Security‑Risk‑Management assessments for each security event.
• Support the design, implementation and operation of the ISMS.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of operational experience in IT infrastructure and security, with at least two years focused on security operations.
• Proven experience securing standard technologies and remediating vulnerabilities.
• Knowledge of IT audits and implementation of measures based on ISO 9001 or similar quality‑management systems.
• Ability to identify vulnerabilities and propose solutions using the CVE standard.
• Experience commissioning and operating an ISMS and deep familiarity with ISO 27001 Annex controls.
• Advanced competence with security and compliance reporting tools.
• Relevant certifications such as ITIL Foundation, PRINCE2 and ISO 27001‑related security certifications.
• Completed university studies in Computer Science, Cybersecurity or an equivalent field.
