Industrial Cybersecurity Portfolio Expert

About the role

As an Industrial Cybersecurity Portfolio Expert you will protect Siemens Energy’s products, solutions and customers by assessing risks, defining security standards and recommending advanced technologies for industrial environments. You will work within a global, multidisciplinary team to develop security concepts, implement proof‑of‑concept solutions and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse the energy threat landscape and provide expert guidance to business units.
• Evaluate external cybersecurity services and propose technical recommendations.
• Define a technical security baseline for the portfolio, covering network architecture, log collection, user management, SIEM, host‑based protection, IDS and anomaly detection.
• Develop and document security concepts and guidelines.
• Implement proof‑of‑concepts of security technologies for industrial domains.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners and security core team members.
• Maintain professional development through training and certifications.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in computer science, industrial automation, cybersecurity, electronics or related field.
• Strong knowledge of industrial control system components and industrial protocols.
• Good understanding of IT security principles (confidentiality, integrity, availability, defense in depth, network zones, hardening).
• Fluency in English.
