Indirect Buyer

About the role

The Indirect Buyer will be responsible for purchasing a wide range of indirect materials and services that support the start‑up and ongoing operation of the Felgueiras site. This includes office supplies, maintenance services, spare parts, IT equipment, and other categories essential for production and facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Source new suppliers and negotiate contracts for indirect materials and services, ensuring cost‑effectiveness and compliance with global procurement policies.
• Create and issue purchase orders in the Oracle E1 system, track order arrivals, and resolve any discrepancies.
• Maintain strong supplier relationships, address delivery or quality issues promptly, and conduct regular supplier reviews.
• Support finance in resolving payment discrepancies and monitor inventory levels to guarantee timely delivery.
• Drive cost‑reduction projects, lead tender processes, and contribute to inventory management initiatives such as Kanban and Vendor Managed Inventory.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in materials, logistics, supply chain management, business administration or a related field.
• 7‑10 years of experience in materials management, supply chain, and manufacturing, with a focus on MRO and other indirect categories.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills; ability to work independently or within a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems, specifically Oracle E1; JD Edwards knowledge is a plus.
• Advanced user of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
