Purchasing Assistant - German Speaker

About the role

Airbus is a global aerospace leader with a network of 180 locations and 12,000 suppliers. The Purchasing Assistant – German Speaker supports ordering activities for procurement commodities across France, Germany, Spain, the UK and Portugal, and contributes to operational sourcing in line with Airbus procurement strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Review purchase requests and create or update purchase orders.
• Follow up on purchase orders to ensure timely delivery.
• Provide Service Desk support for internal stakeholders during operational sourcing.
• Maintain information records such as catalogues.
• Communicate with suppliers and internal customers, including buyers.
• Use Airbus ERP systems (SAP) and procurement tools (Coupa).

Required profile

• Experience in supply chain or procurement (a plus).
• Strong communication skills and customer focus.
• Ability to prioritize in emergencies and work under pressure.
• Eagerness to learn new tools and embrace continuous improvement.
• Fluency in English and German.
• Reliability, rigor and concentration at work.
