HR Generalist – Recruitment, Benefits & Compliance

About the role

We are seeking an HR Generalist to support recruitment, people operations, compliance, and employee engagement. The role works closely with department leaders and an external HR consultant to ensure smooth HR processes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage full recruitment cycle: job postings, screening, interview coordination, hiring, and onboarding, aligned with grant‑funded roles and budget constraints.
• Serve as first point of contact for employee questions on policies and procedures, escalating matters to the HR Consultant as needed.
• Assist in administering employee benefits, including health insurance and retirement plans, ensuring compliance with laws and grant requirements.
• Maintain accurate employee records and support HR documentation and reporting for grant‑funded programs, audits, and compliance initiatives.
• Coordinate training sessions, internal communications, and employee activities to promote professional development and organizational culture.
• Provide general HR operational and administrative support.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
• 2‑3 years of experience as an HR Generalist or in a similar role.
• Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
• Experience in recruitment, benefits administration, and HR compliance.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle confidential information.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Fully bilingual in English and Spanish.
