Hospitality Project Manager

About the role

The company is a fast‑growing owner‑operator hospitality investment and management firm with hotels and resorts across Puerto Rico and the U.S. mainland. Reporting to the SVP of Development, the Hospitality Project Manager will lead the planning, design, construction and commissioning of renovation and conversion projects, ranging from small FF&E refreshes to large‑scale repositionings.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end hospitality renovation and conversion projects across the portfolio.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously at various stages (scoping, design development, construction documentation, bidding, construction, commissioning).
• Coordinate architects, interior designers, brand representatives, general contractors, subcontractors and FF&E/OS&E vendors.
• Develop and control project budgets, schedules, cash‑flow forecasts, change orders and risk mitigation plans.
• Review design documents for constructability, brand compliance, cost impact and operational feasibility.
• Partner with on‑property operations to minimize guest disruption and protect revenue during renovations.
• Provide regular status, budget, schedule and risk reporting to senior leadership and owners.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of project management experience, primarily in hospitality (hotels, resorts, branded properties).
• Proven track record delivering both small‑scale renovations and large‑scale repositioning or conversion projects.
• Full project lifecycle experience from feasibility through turnover.
• Strong financial acumen with budgeting, cost‑to‑complete forecasting and variance reporting.
• Familiarity with hospitality brand standards and PIP processes (e.g., Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, Wyndham, IHG).
• Bilingual English/Spanish and prior experience in Puerto Rico or the Caribbean is preferred.
